Domain Listing Notification scam

This scam is about "Domain name search engine registration" and telling you it's time to send in your registration.  Funny though, 'cause I've never registered with them before....

You get an email like this...

Privatization allows the consumer a choice when registering. Search engine registration includes domain name search engine submission. Do not discard, this notice is not an invoice it is a courtesy reminder to register your domain name search engine listing so your customers can locate you on the web.

So the scare is that failing to pay "may result in cancellation of this offer making it difficult for your customers to locate you on the web".  No mention of what search engines or how much or what you get for your money.  The thing is, you would never have signed up with whoever this mob is anyway so why pay for something that is from somebody you don't know and does not give any guarantees?  Look at their website - it doesn't even have contact info and their T&C's are a joke.  Check it first!!!!

You know, what scares me is that there are so many companies out there that just get these fake notices (that aren't invoices) and actually pay them.  Who knows what they do with your credit card details?  If you are one of my customers you can always ask me about any website/domain/email "invoice" you get that isn't from JAG Systems.
